Conveyancing is the legal process involved in the buying or selling of property or business. Lane & O’Rourke can act for you in all conveyancing matters within New South Wales.
You should contact us regarding your matter as early as possible – Ideally, before you look for a property or before you decide to put your property on the market.
If you are selling a property, we will prepare the contract on your behalf. Your real estate agent must have a copy of the contract before he or she is permitted by law to advertise your property for sale.
After our initial conference, we will order the documents necessary to be attached to the contract. Typically it then takes 5-7 days for us to receive those documents, prepare the contract and provide your agent with a copy.
If you a purchasing a property, we can review the contract with you before you sign. It is important to remember that there is no such thing as a “standard contract.” We can arrange building and pest inspections on your behalf, examine strata reports (where relevant) and explain the various processes and stages involved in the purchase including which is required of you by State and Federal law.
We have the expertise to guide, support and educate you about the conveyancing process so you are more informed, making the process as easy and hassle-free as possible.
